The artists
Lithographic creations from the Pousse Caillou workshop
Lithography is an encounter, a common work between the artist and the lithographer. The artist comes with an idea, a desire, knows the technique or not, and the lithographer provides his know-how and advice. The artists who came to work at the Pousse Caillou studio stayed for several days, sometimes several weeks. The fact that the workshop was in the provinces, in a village of 500 inhabitants, they lived in an independent apartment but the days and meals were shared. Affinities and friendship have their place in the history of Pousse Caillou, as evidenced by some letters from artists after the premature death of Luc Valdelièvre.
